Relations Internship Opportunity

During the summer Iowa Rivers Chapter was fortunate to
have
Elizabeth Roloff, an Iowa State senior majoring in
marketing as our Marketing/Public Relations intern. She
completed her internship with the chapter in August. Thus
our chapter is actively searching for an intern to fill this
position.
Goal: Implement marketing plan to increase awareness and
visibility of Red Cross products and services
Job description:

Write and send press releases to appropriate media.

Assist in writing and sending Public Service Announcements
to the media
-
Create and distribute various forms of publicity to
advertise Red Cross classes, volunteerism and event
-
Utilize Red Cross promotional kit to increase visibility
and awareness of Red Cross products and
services
-
Brainstorm and implement creative ideas to increase
visibility
-
Identify new potential markets (businesses, community
groups,
etc..)
-
Create Powerpoint programs
-
Public speaking (short Red Cross programs)
-
Website maintenance
