HEALTH & SAFETY INTERN

 The Iowa Rivers Chapter is currently accepting applications for a position as a Health & Safety Intern for the summer, fall and spring of 2006.   The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Ann Bresler, the Health & Safety Director, and be assigned a wide spectrum of duties within the department.  Specific needs include training as an instructor in First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Aid Training, Babysitter’s Training and Pet First Aid.

The intern will gain valuable experience in the health & safety field while teaching students of different ages and abilities.  In addition the intern will become familiar with scheduling, registration, advertisement, press releases, and other marketing skills needed to administer  Health and Safety courses.  Further duties may include record-keeping & data entry on the national database system, class set-up, ordering materials, composing letters for sponsorship and scholarships, invoicing accounts, and help with the business plan for the department.

Fall /Winter/Spring hours:  negotiable, capable of flexing around class schedules to give you valuable work experience while completing your education.
